ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER POCKET LENS COMPASS
F BARKER & SON
Exquisite silver pocket lens compass, fully hallmarked F.B.&.Sn Silver 1913 London
The silver has no dents or bruises and the glass has no chips or cracks
The crossbar needle finds north perfectly - there is a very small, almost invisible to the eye, stain under the glass near the edge. I have accentuated it for the photograph, but unless held to the light it is not immediately obvious
The Morocco leather transit case, lined with velvet and silk, has a good hinge and the locking catch works perfectly, but as you can see from the photographs the case is showing some signs of wear, but it is the original case, and it is extremely rare to find a silver pocket lens compass that still has its original transit case
The compass works as a powerful magnifying glass (see photographs) for map reading or starting a camp fire
PRICE INCLUDES POSTAGE WORLDWIDE - Buyers are responsible for any import taxes payable in countries outside of the European Community (including the United Kingdom), but I will do all I can to minimise such taxes.
