RARE ANTIQUE WW1 LARGE ENGLISH MILITARY BAROMETER

Large brass cased portable altimeter / barometer with silvered dial and blued sweep indicator, bearing the military arrow on the reverse and dated 1918 on the dial
The dial silvering is still 100% but has discoloured in patches. To the naked eye this discolouration is barely noticeable, but I have exaggerated it for some of the photographs.
The three indications, "RAIN", "CHANGE" and "FAIR" at the top of the dial have almost completed faded away, but all the other marks and indications are perfect
The barometer works perfectly, even though it is over 100 years old, and has been tracking a digital barometer perfectly for the past month while on test
This barometer has been repaired and restored by me. The major repair was the creation of a new pivot for the sweep indicator. The original pivot had broken off, and it was not possible to drill the fusee block, so I created a mount to hold a new pivot and bonded it to the top of the fusee. I have attached photographs of the movement showing the repair
The instrument has been tested to full vacuum and to positive pressure to 4 bar and comes with my usual 12 month guarantee against faulty workmanship, and the low price for this rare instrument reflects the fact it has been repaired
